Cipro XR 500 Mg

Cipro® XR (ciprofloxacin extended release) is a prescription drug commonly used to treat urinary tract infections as well as kidney infections. The medication comes in tablet form and is generally taken once a day.
 
When treating an uncomplicated urinary tract infection, the usual dose of Cipro XR is 500 mg once a day for three days. Complicated UTIs are treated with 1000 mg once daily for 7 to 14 days to start. People with kidney disease may be given 500 mg of Cipro XR once daily, even for a complicated UTI.
