Mirabegron Drug Information

Mirabegron (MyrbetriqTM) is a medicine prescribed to help relieve symptoms of an overactive bladder, such as the frequent need to urinate and leaking accidents. However, before taking mirabegron, your healthcare provider will need information on your medical history and a current list of all drugs, vitamins, and supplements you are taking.

While this medication may help treat an overactive bladder in some people, it is not appropriate for everyone. People who have high blood pressure, a weak urine stream, or difficulty emptying their bladder may not be able to safely take mirabegron.

Mirabegron comes as an extended-release tablet and is taken once daily. Side effects may include headaches, common cold symptoms, and urinary tract infections. It is only approved for use in adults age 18 and older.
